ZLL Parents:
Another fun and exciting season of little league baseball and softball has rounded third and slid head first into home plate! Which also means that planning for the 2011 season is about to start, and there are numerous opportunities for you to help.
A primary volunteer opportunity involves serving on ZLL's Board of Directors. In addition to being able to drive the Gator, ZLL board members meet monthly and then handle specific duties leading up to the start of the season. Oversight continues during the season, when board members also have access to driving the Gator.
ZLL's Board of Directors will be elected Sunday, September 12, 2010, at 6:30p, at the Lion's Clubhouse. All ZLL parents are eligible to run for a seat on the board, and all ZLL parents are eligible to vote in the election.
My family has enjoyed Zionsville Little League for the last eight years. Due to our support of ZLL, and to address some concerns we had about ZLL, I decided to join the ZLL Board of Directors in 2007. If you are interested in helping ZLL remain strong, and even if you have some concerns and would like to be part of the solution, I strongly encourage you to volunteer to serve on ZLL's Board of Directors.
And, of course, there's the Gator!
