Approved bats for Little League Baseball and Softball
Little League International posts on its web site all the approved equipment for Little League. Probably the most confusing aspect is which bats are approved for use in Little League baseball and softball.
There are a couple of lists of approved bats on the Little League web site.
For all-metal bats or bats with composite handles and metal barrels, the list of approved bats can be found here:
http://www.littleleague.org/Assets/forms_pubs/2011ApprovedNonWoodBatList.pdf
In 2011, all bats that were completely made of composite materials were banned. For 2012, there is now a substantial list of all-composite bats that are now approved. You can find that at: http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/approvedcompbatssmall.htm
More information about approved equipment can be found at http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment.htm.
