The Orphanage
Phase II construction has been completed and the orphanage is now home to 20 orphans. Each year, YETI raises the necessary funds to house and care for these 20 orphans. (Second term progress report for orphans - PDF 1.3 MB)
Announcements
- On Tuesday, June 2, 2009, YETI donated an additional $500 to BLING. BLING is an intensive Summer program for inner-city youth who have a desire to become business owners. Students are taught the basic fundamentals of starting a small business, including identifying opportunities, goal setting, costs, financing, marketing, record keeping, and competition. - On Monday, May 4, 2009, Jennifer Ruby of Ruby Law donated an additional $500 to fund an additional year of private schooling for two of our female orphans. Three advanced orphans are now funded for private school through July 2010.
- On Friday, March 13, 2009, YETI donated $1,200 for medical and living expenses of a little girl battling leukemia. Read more about Isa’s story at http://isarose.wordpress.com/
- On Monday, December 29, 2008, YETI sent the final payment for 2008 operating expenses to the Orphanage. YETI also transferred funding for an additional year of private schooling for one of our female orphans (thanks to Judith Essex). Two advanced orphans are now funded for private school through July 2009, and one through July 2010.
- On Friday, November 14, 2008, Ontario Systems of Muncie, IN held a donation for casual day event and raised $160 for YETI. This is nearly enough to care for an orphan for 3 months!
