Plan of Reorganization

 

On March 12, 2008, the Reorganization Committee unanimously passed a Plan which would consolidate Eagle, Union and Zionsville into one government with two service districts for its citizens.  The final document was delivered to Eagle Township, Union Township and the Town of Zionsville for their consideration on April 18th.

As a reminder, the Plan of Reorganization must be passed, individually by the Eagle Township Board, the Union Township Board and the Zionsville Town Council. If the Plan is passed by these three governmental bodies, then the Plan would be placed before the citizens on the November 2008 ballot.  In order for the Plan to become effective, it must also be passed by a majority of voters in Eagle Township, a majority of the voters in Union Township and a majority of voters in the Town of Zionsville.
