- Smoking Cessation Class - at 6:30 pm at the Boone County Health Department. This four week program is designed for smokers who are ready to commit to a healthier lifestyle by giving up smoking. Free patches will be available through the Health Department. To register, please contact the Boone County Health Department at 765-482-3942.

- Boone County Performing Arts, Inc. Junior Civic Theatre presents "What A Day For A Daydream" - at Centenary United Methodist Church under the direction of Joe Ventro. Performance at 7:00 pm. Ticket prices are $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for students and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

- Annual Purdue Club of Boone County Golf Outing at Hickory Bend on St. Rd. 32, west of St. Rd. 421. After golf will be a pitch-in dinner. Plan to attend one or both events. More details to follow.

Lebanon Street. Classes are lead by Katy Bowman, R.N., Witham Health Services Certified Diabetic Educator. Classes are free and open to the public. Call 765-482-8693 to register. - American Indian Council 19th Annual Traditional Pow Wow. John Deer Memorial Craft Contest Sunday. Native American Singing, Dancing, Arts & Crafts Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds.
- LEF Auditions for 2001, 10th Anniversary Foundation Follies - Preparation for the 10th anniversary Lebanon Educational Foundation Follies has begun. This year's production is titled "De Ja Vu!" and will celebrate 10 years of Follies. (The tentative dates scheduled for each performance will be November 16, 17 and 18.) Cast open auditions are scheduled for Saturday, August 18th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm and Sunday, August 19 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Central Christian Church located at 311 East Main Street for elementary, middle school, high school and adults of all ages. Community support is also needed to serve on the various committees required to produce such an event. Contact LEF Executive Director, Sonya Flanary-Shoup, 765-482-1185 or the Co-Creative Producers, Diana Lamb, 765-325-3025 or Sue Ritz, 765-482-7358 if you have any questions or wish to add your talents to this year's production. - Friday on the Square - Lebanon Downtown Business Association and the Boone County Tourism Council is hosting a concert in the evening by Smokestack Jack & The Medicine Man on the eastside of the square and John Stevens, a popular local entertainer on the west side of the square. Downtown businesses open until 8 PM.
