Evergreen Indiana and the Lebanon Public Library are pleased to welcome our most recently migrated partners! In December, Brazil Public Library, Brownstown Public Library (in Brownstown), Butler Public Library (in Butler), Jennings County Public Library (in North Vernon), Melton Public Library (in French Lick), and Odon Winkelpleck Public Library (in Odon) have migrated their holdings into the system. Fulton County Public Library, North Webster Community Public Library, Hamilton North Public Library (in Atlanta and Cicero), and Ladoga Clark Public Library will join us in January.
The consortium has officially accepted a total of 33 member libraries! We are pleased and excited to watch as we come together over the next few months to serve over 386,000 patrons throughout Indiana!
The Lebanon Public Library is pleased to announce its entrance into Evergreen Indiana, a consortium of public libraries in Indiana. Founded in conjunction with the Indiana State Library, Evergreen Indiana offers participating Evergreen libraries access to a shared catalog with libraries throughout Indiana. Lebanon Public Library migrated its records into the system in October of 2008.
What does joining Evergreen Indiana mean for LPL patrons?
Lebanon Public Library patrons will have access to materials at any Evergreen Indiana Library. Once LPL has completed the data migration, all of our patrons will be able to check out materials at any migrated consortium library; a list with links to migrated libraries appears on the right-hand side of this screen.
Our online catalog has changed appearance, and users have more opportunities to place holds, browse other libraries' collections, and renew materials at home or on the road.
Sponsored by the Indiana State Library and a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant, this project will save taxpayers money, while simultaneously increasing the available resources for all Library patrons! We are very excited about the next couple of months and the changes they will bring!
For more information on the consortium-open ILS project, please visit the Indiana State Library's Open Source ILS Initiative page. For more information about the Evergreen software and catalog, visit the Evergreen website. And keep checking for new announcements on this website!
NOTE: Please be aware that you may only receive your consortium card from your home library. Consortium cards will not be honored at libraries which have not completed their migration.
